Chelsea Anderson

Chelsea Anderson

Bio

Chelsea Anderson is a senior Communication Studies major with a double minor in Writing Studies and Sociology from Babylon, New York. She has been an location reporter, an anchor and camera operator. She is currently involved with the Office of International Relations and doing a co-op with Dr. John Sauter as well as working towards her thesis. After graduation Chelsea hopes to get a job in the production field or social media field in New York City. Something you should know about Chelsea is that she has been to London, England three times and Paris, France.

Tyler Bingham

Tyler Bingham

Bio

Tyler Bingham is a freshman English major with a minor in Sociology and a potential second minor in Communications. He is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but now resides here at Niagara University's O'Shea Hall. Tyler has a passion for working in both digital and print journalism. Along with helping with the Ridge Report, he's a Sports Writer and Campus Correspondent for FreshU.io. Around campus, Tyler is involved in WNIA as well as the Student Ambassador program. In the future, Tyler hopes to be a beat reporter for the NBA's legendary, 17-time world champion, Boston Celtics. 
 
A fun fact about Tyler is that he can touch the top of his left wrist with his left thumb.

Bio

Anna Cappello is a Sophomore Communications and Psychology dual major from Orchard Park, New York. On Ridge Report thus far Anna has been an anchor, technical director, and camera operator as well as a reporter. Around campus she is involved in the plays through NU theater, CPB, ASL club, NU Clue, and the Vincentian Scholarship program. Anna is the oldest of 6 children and is fluent in pig latin.

Maura Christie is a Communications major with a minor in writing studies from Troy, NY. On the show Maura has been an anchor, camera operator and technical director. Ideally Maura would like to be host of NBC Nightly News.

Ciara Cornelia is Sophomore Communications major from Rochester, NY. She has been a part of the ridge report as a camera and teleprompter operator. When she grows up she hopes to have a career in video production.

Liam Cuddy

Liam Cuddy

Bio

Liam Cuddy, a freshman at Niagara University, is currently enrolled in the Academic Exploration Program, taking classes focussed on Communications, and Hospitality and Tourism. He is currently from Auburn, New York where he participated in the Journalism Program there and was awarded with the Sarah E. Smith Scholarship. He has participated in various Ridge Report positions including sound board, camera, reporting, and anchoring.

Britini D'Angelo

Britini D'Angelo

Bio

Britini D'Angelo is a Sophomore Communication Studies and Theatre Performance double major from Niagara Falls, NY. She is a news anchor for the Ridge Report. On campus, she is involved in thirteen clubs on campus, including the Vincentian Scholarship Program, tour guiding, and WNIA Radio. Outside of campus, she is a company dancer at the Dance Shop Studios in Niagara Falls, NY. She is also a second degree black belt at Presti Karate Centers. In the future, Britini wants to work as a news anchor for WGRZ in Buffalo, NY. Her dream is to work as a Sports Broadcaster for the YES Network in New York City!

Andrew Emmons

Andrew Emmons

Bio

Andrew is a Junior Dual Major in the Criminology & Criminal Justice Masters program as well as Communications, with minors in Spanish and Sociology. He began working with the Ridge Report his freshmen year with a passion for video production and sports broadcasting. For a long time he tag teamed with David Yarger as the Sports Anchor and then found a passion in the production of the show. His role is now behind the camera as he is the Executive Producer and Video Editor for the Ridge Report. Rachel and Andrew run the Ridge Report together with a group of Niagara's brightest students. Away from the studio, Andrew is actively involved in various campus activities including, being an Orientation Leader, working in the Admissions Office, being a Tour Guide, the President of the Criminal Justice Association, and being the Lead Official at the Kiernan Recreation Center. Into another studio, Andrew is involved with WNIA the University's very own radio station. Andrew and David both host WNIA's Official Sports Radio show, The Toss Up. Andrew is also interning in the University's Public Relations Office as a University Photographer. Andrew has a passion for photography and videography, which makes his job a lot of fun. He enjoys producing videos of events and activities that happen on campus and sharing them with the world. After graduation, Andrew hopes to find a career in Federal Law Enforcement, i.e. Homeland Security, FBI, ATF, etc. A fun fact about Andrew, is that he loves sunsets and nature, which are his main focus when taking pictures. Andrew's biggest fact though is that he is a Die Hard New England Patriots Fan, and that will never change!

Heather Gervasi

Bio

Heather Gervasi is a freshmen Theatre Performance Major with a potential minor in education or communications. She is originally from East Aurora, NY, but now resides here at Niagara University. Heather has a passion for working behind the camera whether it is filming or taking pictures, so the Ridge Report has given her new knowledge that she is extremely grateful for. Her future plans will hopefully consist of being on the stage, but also being a college Theatre professor with a side job of photography. A fun fact about Heather is that she tries to compliment as many people as she can everyday, giving each person at least one happy factor in their daily life.

Rachel Gromlovits

Rachel Gromlovits

Bio

Rachel is a senior Communication Studies major with a minor in Theatre Studies from Wheatfield, NY. She began her work on The Ridge Report during her freshman year as an anchor and script writer and it has continued to be Rachel's favorite organization on campus throughout her undergraduate career. Rachel has been The Ridge Report's floor director for the past three years and now also holds the position of News Director. She is actively involved with campus activities and is an Orientation Leader, Tour Guide, Niagara University Beginnings Peer Mentor, and has worked on multiple video productions for the university. After her graduation in May of 2017, Rachel plans on earning her Master's Degree at Niagara with an MBA in Strategic Marketing in the hopes of a career in Public Relations or Event Planning. Although Rachel is starting to focus more on her future aspirations, she is still a lover of all things Disney and has a major travel bug. In May of 2015, she studied abroad with the Communication Studies department in London, England.

Bio

Franklin is a freshman from Williamsville, New York. He is a Communications Studies major.  With his degree, he hopes to pursue a career in either television or radio.  He's excited to learn all aspects of the show.

Fun Fact: Franklin played percussion in his high school band at Williamsville South and was the drummer in the school’s Jazz Band.

Bio

Gabrielle Jackson is a Communication Studies Major/Marketing Minor from Dallas, Texas. She has worked as a Floor Director, Reporter, Sound editor, and host on the Ridge Report. She is a Community Advisor and holds active roles in CPB, Programming Board, PRSSN. In her future, she would like to own a Public Relation and Marketing company. She graduates in 2018.

Bio

Makayla Kanavy is a Freshmen Communications and Sports Management Dual Major. She is from Syracuse, NY and has done various things on the show from anchoring to working the prompter. Other than Ridge Report she is involved with the Human Rights Initiative. She hopes to work for a sports team in the future as part of their Management department or PR department.

Rachel Lewis is a communications major here at Niagara University. She is primarily involved in Ridge Report. Rachel spends her free time working on her art skills and watching YouTube videos. She plans to join a career in graphic communications or video editing.

Justin Pope is a Sophomore from Tonawanda, New York, majoring in Theatre Performance here at Niagara University. He so far has been an anchor on the Ridge Report once, but he has had the honor of serving as the show’s announcer quite a few times. Justin dreams of one day becoming a voice actor and inspiring those who listen to what he may have to say. Fun fact: Justin can name (currently) all 721 Pokémon and knows in-depth information on each one!

Travis Starzynski is a freshmen from Buffalo, New York, majoring in 5-12 English Education here at Niagara University. He dreams of one day becoming an English teacher or maybe even a school principal. With the Ridge Report being one, Travis is also involved in NUFTA and NUSGA. He hasn’t done anything like Ridge Report, before but he is anticipating a great year!

Ashley Webb

Ashley Webb

Bio

Ashley Webb is a Junior enrolled in the Communications program with an additional interest in obtaining an ASL Minor. She commutes daily from her hometown of Lockport, New York. Around campus she is primarily involved with Ridge Report, but tries to attend the ASL events that occur both on campus and off. Post-graduation, Ashley plans to work with production teams for television and additional branches of media production.

Fun fact: Ashley has traveled abroad to Europe and China for weeks at a time to learn about and experience other cultures as well as promote international relations as a student ambassador.

Sarah Wetzel

Bio

Sarah Wetzel is currently a BFA theatre performance major at Niagara  University. Passionate about theatre from a young age, Sarah hopes to continue to grow as a performer during her years at NU. Looking to potentially minor or double major in communications, Sarah is eager to continue to learn more about the process of putting together each episode of Ridge Report alongside her peers. She hopes that the technical knowledge she gains in Ridge Report will be applicable to her pursuits in theatrical production. A fun fact about Sarah is that she loves exploring and has spent the night alongside ghost hunting teams in Rolling Hills Asylum.
